2010 SS Brake Pads - OEM Part No?

Hi all,

Haven't been on for a while, but hope you're all well

Quick question as per the thread title...anyone know what the stock OEM part numbers are for front and rear pads?

Thanks,
J.

I can't find the part number, but GMPartsdirect.com has them under the catalog for $99.99 for the front set and $76.36 for the rear set. Hell, they're cheaper than the V6 brakes!

You'd be better off with ceramic pads. I put on Carbotech 1521 compound low dust brake pads front and rear.

We would be happy to help you out with the Hawk Performance Ceramics. Very low dust and very low noise and great stopping power. Not recommended for autocross or track events though!

I come up with the front pads for the SS as 92244289 I'm pretty sure but you may want to confirm, they are a little pricey.

I have the Hawk Performance Ceramic pads on mine, and I love them. Very little brake dust, and stop just fine. I strongly recommend them.

GM #92244289 - these have the roller skate weights. High performance, high dust, and high noise

I always heard the ceramic brakes were loud, like stuck pig squealing loud...

For daily driving, yes. If you plan to track the car at all, or are just an aggressive driver, I've been told ceramic is not the way to go.

That part # is turning up a set for $125.

My SS is a daily driver, and I get no noise from the Hawk Ceramic pads at all.

Isn't the Ceramic pad much hard on the Rotors and have to be replace more frequent.I rather put up with the dust than have to replace Rotors if that's the case, did you notice the Rotors are wearing faster.Mine is just a daily car,no racing etc.
