I do understand that you like the scoops, but the smooth, "unmolested" hood has its own appeal and I'd try to embrace it. You can significantly enhance the look of your front end with the LT SEMA grille, if you are interested: https://www.phastekperformance.com/2...a-841500xx.htm

(BTW I will not consider swapping my front bumper out for a ZL1 or a ZL1 1LE replica for the same reason.)
I definitely get that, thanks for the input!! I do have the sema grille and it certainly makes a world of difference in terms of aggressiveness. I also agree with the bumper, not a big fan of the swap.

As I recall, in addition to a variety of factory colors, they had wrapped SS 1LE hoods as well if you were interested in that look!
Yes I am. Thanks for the heads up on that and I appreciate you checking for me! I'll be sure to keep an eye out.

Ah...thank you those 2 pictures make it super clear to see. Isn't the second photo an SS though? How come they are sitting on top more?

Yes, it is an SS. Good question, I have no idea...

I think it's the same reason as the one behind the panel gap. The hood has a lip around the cutout for the scoops, but the curvature of the plastic isn't 100% correct at the corner closest to the front of the car, so it "sticks up" a little bit, see pics below (never mind the pollen, it'll get washed off soon).

Now I'm sure this is still better than just cutting the hood and placing the scoop on top, but definitely isn't perfect.

By the way, here is the latest sale post from the shop I was referring to. Brand new 6th gen hoods for $375, pick-up only, in Tom's River, NJ:

Not sure if they only have the 2019+ style, though...

2016-2018 vents are held in with double sided tape, clips, and 3 nuts each. Not sure about the newer design but probably same but more nuts.

I agree the easiest way being getting an SS hood, I only got one since my hood got damaged and the prices were the same around me
