I have to take a fiber after about an hr and wipe out the streaks real fast.
I find I get less steaking when I use microfiber applicator. I don't spray Crystal seal or Reload directly on panels anymore. I use Reload on wife's car and CS on my mine until it's gone. Then will totally switch to Reload for our "fleet"...

Been roughly 2 months since I applied Cquartz UK to my car and my gf's. Her car sits out in the elements and got no additional topping. Mine spends the nights in a garage, and i topped mine with black fire crystal seal.

Both are still quite hydrophobic, with water beading up into marble sized balls. This is after powerwashing at a touchless car wash roughly every week and rinseless usually after.

Stays cleanish for roughly a couple days before the california dirt/dust necessitates another wash.

No significant difference between the two that i've seen. Bird crap and dirt and such come off with minimal effort and no marks are left on both cars. Both seem to be working just as well as they were when the coatings were new.

You get 2 microfiber applicators when you buy blackfire and I am using them.

I notice that blackfire crystal seal can not hold up long in NJ weather even in the summer. I am going to try that F11 next. That stuff seems solid and the reviews are insane

Essence is a polish with silica in it...Reload is the Silica sealant, great stuff! I like it much better than the BF products, which are great BTW themselves, just feel Silica products are better, provide more gloss, and from my experience they hold up better. Even in heavy rain vehicles look real nice with Silica, sheds a lot of dirt and road grime.

Totally agree. Reload feels slicker and looks glossier. I did wife's car a month ago with Essence and topped with Reload and she commented yesterday that she was surprised how rain just ran off the hood and how shiny the car was after her 600 mile round trip. She never makes these kinds of observations. I used to maintain her car with just Crystal Seal and Duragloss rinseless.

do you have to buff essence on with a wheel or you can do it by hand?

So you put essence on then reload?

Essence is easy to apply by hand using an applicator sponge followed by easy buffing with a microfiber towel. The reload sprays on and is also easily worked in with a microfiber towel. From the CarPro (makers of Essence and Reload) website:

Reload:

Do not apply in direct sun
Apply in good ambient lighting
Shake well
Spray 2-3 sprays directly onto a microfiber towel or the paint and spread out left and right and then up and down over a 2 to 2.5 sq ft area
Work it into the paint evenly until almost flashed away
Switch to a fresh clean towel (I prefer the Crazy Pile towel) and buff the area until no residue remains
Check after each panel before moving to next
