I think Chevy learned from the errors found in the Z06 and won't repeat them in the Z**

I thought that to until I read this

https://www.yahoo.com/autos/s/2016-c...163032425.html

This isn't a Corvette aero design problem, the problem lies within the design of the LT4

I find it interesting that Motor Trend, Car and Driver, Road and Track and who knows who else have beat the living shit out of the CTS V without any complaints or limp modes.. And some dude from bold ride supposedly ran into issues.

This has to be the worst written review for a performance luxury car I've read. "feels".. Butt dyno. Awesome. My buddy's 15 GT feels nowhere as fast as my car, but they are pretty much the same.. Review just doesn't seem... Finished.

Yeah that article reads like it was written by an idiot with an agenda.

Look at where the rocker meets the front wheel. Is it just me or does the fender look flared too?

The review sucks, yeah. I just think it's an issue with the engine, not so much the packaging of the Z06. The CTS-V just came out, give it a little time, I'm sure similar problems will pop up. Not sure if it'll be as bad as the Z06, but it may still happen enough to be a problem. The packaging in the Z06 could be making the problem worse, sure. I think GM tried to do to many things with the LT4. They wanted it to make gobs of power, making it the most powerful production engine GM ever put out, had to pass strict emissions requirements, AND they wanted it to fit under the low hood of the Z06 which is why they went with that small blower that they spin to the heavens. So I guess, in a way it is the packaging. But the packaging affected the design of the LT4 so unless they change some things around, which I'm sure in the CTS-V and the ZL1, they have more room to work with, I don't see the problem getting that much better.

This is just my opinion, I hope I am wrong. I'd be all over a ZL1 otherwise. Hell, I'd be all over the Z06 actually.

nah I don't think they look wider. I think the black bumper is just reflecting differently and making it look wider.

If it was a Z, where is the video recording engine noise? Looks like a standard Gen6 with a different wing and wheels.

Looks like a marketing tease, not a Z.

not bs....look at the front clip, totally different, wider tires, and the videos have been up on this forum for a while with much discussion.

Now we don't see the front of the car that has the duckbill spoiler and blacked out rear fender, that may be a 1LE or something, but the other one...probably a ZXX.

Edit: actually i can't tell if hood as the heat extractor we saw on the nurburgring videos...anyone see it?

Heat extractor is visible... Zoom in and look at the hood ridge line... How it lifts up an inch or so then back down and up for the "cowl/center/extractor" part...

That's the Mother Lode Saloon in Red River, New Mexico. It's about fifty miles West of Raton.

I need to make a road trip. That's about two hundred miles from me.
