Dealer here in Stuart has a 3LT but its 15K over MSRP. No dealers will sell available cars in stock for MSRP. I don't see then catching up till the end of 2023. A good part of 2022 is already being sold.

Now way. I'd wait 2 years. They are still figuring the platform out and it drives worse than a c7 which drives worse than a camaro. It has the best potential but it'll take time to iron kinks out. Also qc will be much better by then. It's their first mid engine and transmission, I don't want to be a beta tester for that

In Naples, Florida there are way to many new C8 corvettes running around. That and a LOT of Ferrari's and Porsches, etc....exotics.

Can't afford the Italian etc. exotics....

But I can afford a new C8. One drove by me with the exhaust popping on 41 by Vanderbilt Road.....I think my drool bucket filled up....

I keep telling myself your driving a C6 that turns heads and people constantly comment "nice car".....My Lt1 engine is essentially the same as the engine in the C8. Going to go drive a C8 at a dealer, if I can find one....

I live in Punta Gorda. I've seen 2 C8s around on a regular basis that's it. We don't have many Ferraris here in Charlotte County. It's more corvettes and Porsches old guys drive for speed. The ones who have money tend to go for Porsche around here such as Carerra 911. They got money but not Naples multi millionaire type money you see in downtown Naples with the lambos and Ferrari.

Corvette is popular around here. However the Chevy dealers around here don't carry many. I see a lot of c7 Vettes here in Charlotte County and North Port.

The C7 had 4 years of problems never fixed. My new 2019 C7 had a bad rear end and shudder at 400 miles. I got rid of it fast.

I have a C7 and I think the same thing. I'd love to get the C8. But I'm not paying 10k+ over retail. It's a hard wait but the options seem to be wait 1-2 year for used ones below retail, or get on the list now with a new order and it's a 12-18 month wait for a car.

OP, while I hear you, I am going to pass on a C8. If I ever give up my 2018 ZL1, it will probably be for a 911.

Why? One reason: manual transmission...

My ZL1 is a toy. As would a C8 or 911 be. I prefer my toy to have an honest to God, manual transmission. Not another computer controlled device.

I get that a DCT can shift faster than I can. And I don't care. I love to row my own gears. So, if Chevy is done with manuals in Corvettes... I will never own one.

Nice looking car though...

The lack of a manual in the new C8 shocked me a bit.

I will get a C8, but I'm waiting until I can get one used. I'd never pay $80-90k for a car. Well if it was a collector that would continue to increase in value, then maybe, but not something that will just drop in value every year. I will hang onto my Camaro until I can get a used C8 I'm comfortable with buying.

This exactly. Porsche figured it out, and back tracked to start offering the manual in almost every 911.

DCT's are great tech, but in my experience very boring.
