6th gen transmission issues

Has anyone heard of a new car auto transmission on an LT1 basically neutral drop in forward and reverse? My car does not even have 2500 miles on it yet and it is doing this. I just was cruising at 40 miles per hour, car feels like it goes out of gear engine revs to 3000-3500 rpm then bounces back into gear.

Dealer said to hit the onstar button and have it flat bedded to them asap.

Yep, that trans is messed up, maybe under/overfill or something worse. Let the dealer take care of it under warranty.

if its an automatic transmission it could be the software, because my family had a 2018 GMC terrain with an auto trans with corrupted software my mom suspected something was wrong before GM issued the NTSB before it went out and the dealer said "its fine, its fine" like BS bro, find an NTSB for it or if its a manual trans, the shift points could be wrong or its software overall

Unfortunately, it's becoming a new common problem with these new LT1s. Some say it could be a misfire, or they are just new.

LT1 has nothing to do with it. These trans are in a bunch of different vehicles. Its not like they made a special edition for the LT1.

But if it's showing up on the lt1 and not the other a10 models it could be LT1 software specific.

Yeah, LT1 lacks some mechanics that the SS has. Not saying that it never happened on the SS.

Tell me what mechanics are missing on the LT1 that are present on the SS that would affect the engine, 10 speed auto, or anything else mechanical.

There is definitely different programming as LT1’s lack a track mode.

There was a post a little while ago in the ZL1 forum that had a trans issue.

OP needs to get some vid of it happening, then none of this “Nuffin wrong wiff it.” nonsense.

Mine has been perfect so far. It will flat out get away from ya from a slow roll and just spins at about any speed if i really lay into to it. Over 900 miles and feels better all the time.

Track mode will only change the action of the transmission. Slam the pedal On a LT1 and it goes right into performance transmission mode, which isnt any different than track mode on a SS. WOT shift points will be the same etc.

I can flatfoot my LT1 in 2nd gear on a 25mph roll with 5-8 miles of road heated stock runflat all seasons with 28 lbs warmed tire pressure and no spin right to WOT 2-3 shift. And I want to remind you, on 40-45 degree days here in Connecticut. Have 1320 miles on it today.

It's been cold for us the last 6 weeks. Has not been this cool for over 10 years. 41f this AM. Around 65f this afternoon. I feel no need for a ported TB on my LT1. The factory tune is nite and day better vs my 2019 C7. Gotta make up my mind on mods one day. Maybe heads, cam LT2 intake. Another 50hp would be plenty for my kind of driving.
