Yea, but that's not the point. The point is that negative camber like that is terrible for traction.

If it proves that it can still handle as well as the stock non-magnetic ride, if not better, on the track, I would love to have it on.
if it looks silly in your opinion, then that's just your old soul griping. I think a slammed car looks sexy. you are probably thinking of static cars that are cambered too much and always low. with airbags, you don't actually drive that low, its mostly just slammed when parked, and at a normal ride height when driving.

as for it riding like shit, how do you mean? I've been in many bagged cars that ride smooth and handle just as well as their stock suspensions once did, and in some cases, even better. have you been in a car equipped with a modern airlift kit? try one and you will see for yourself. the technology has improved a lot.

the biggest plus for me tho is being able to lift the car higher to avoid stupidly tall speed bumps and steep driveway without scraping
I don't see how this setup could possibly help with handling, but it's your car...do what you want.

And where your evidence that air suspension is terrible for traction??

You need evidence for why negative camber is bad for traction? Just look at the tire contact area. With correct camber, the entire surface area of the tread is utilized, but with positive or negative camber, you are losing out on that area due to the extreme angle the wheel is placed at.

Air suspension itself? I don't see it hurting much, except the additonal weight, and possible issues with failure at the track. I don't believe any professional race teams use them, and I don't see how it would be better than coilovers or the magnetic ride.

You keep focusing on negative camber. That is only a thing when parked and the car is slammed. People with airbags don't drive like that lol only static cars with coilovers do because they don't have the option of raising the car up on the fly, which is the purpose of having an airbag suspension.
With airbags, you get the best of both worlds: the sleek slammed look when parked, and the option to set a custom driving height which if you liked, could be the same as stock, maintaining the normal camber you are so concerned about. It's all customizable. These aren't the same old crappy air suspension kits you may be familiar with.

I don't expect your mind to be changed on the matter, but consider reading the articles posted by Diode Dynamics

^^^

Car airs up, wheels come out; less negative camber.

Car parks and airs down, wheels come in; more negative camber.

Anyone with a legitimate air suspension install (especially in a performance car) will make sure that they're aligned properly when aired up to their desired ride height.

You could literally adjust the collars to keep it at stock ride height, even when aired out if you wish. You would still have the ability to raise & lower it in case you needed more clearance for driveways etc etc.

The ability to adjust height on the fly is worth the price of the entire kit IMO

Do you have any idea what the price of the front and rear suspension kit will be?

you don't drive around with it on the ground

Not quite sure on pricing yet, but I will keep everyone updated! I sent this thread to our friends at AirLift so they can see some of the questions/feedback you guys have posted.

Very excited to get our kit and have it installed! It's the only missing piece of our build

I know a few of you have kits installed of various types. Can you share pics of the rear suspension and trunk setup?
