I'm think I'm going to go with the quoted price. I checked a few other places and his price is comparable and he comes with a good reputation. See if I can get the Magnuson installed next week.

Who are you going with? They may get my business if it all works out for you.

Carburetor Connection in Kirkland. I've heard good things about Alex the owner and he tells me they've done over 70 SC installs. I have a friend who had some performance work done on his Corvette that he was real happy with.

I'll let you know more after I chat with him on Tuesday.

I talked to Alex today, and gave him the money to get the Magnuson. I also am trying to see if it's possible to buy just the SW headers to go with my cat back exhaust of their make. If not, (I heard rumor they will not sell just the headers) Alex says he can get a nice set of Kooks for a good price.

He's supposed to get back in touch with me once he's got a tracking number to schedule the install, etc so hoping to figure out the header thing before that.

I can feel the excitement building...

You can always find Not so reputable/incapable shops to offer up the work for a lot less money, but then you either end up with a broken car or have to pay a Reputable shop to do it over.

No not 4K, it's 2500.00 on top of a Maggie, shipping, Labor install, fluids, tuner, O2 bung, and dyno tuning.

Good work is not cheap and cheap work is not good.

Ted.

I agree with above. Been repairing a lot of stuff lately from my local cut rate shops around here. 1 repair cost the owner $5k for some expensive parts a local shop screwed up.
Just do your research. There are a lot of good shops out there but also a lot not so great.

Drive her down to Texas and let ADM put their kit on, runs about $6500 I think.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I highly recommend Kaizan Speed here in the Tri Cities. Bit of a drive, but they have lots of experience with supercharging the corvette LT1.
