I have only seen 1LE cars in passing, do they use the front tire deflectors under the bumper like a base SS does? The parts that I'm talking about are the ones that get removed when you install the SS brake deflector kit for road course use.
It's not the tires... It's tbe other aerodynamics that slow it down. Higher downforce from the lip, spoilers, deflectors and such.

You really think that adding 40mm to the width of the front tires and 30mm to the width of the rear tires has no influence on the total drag?

It does, but not as much as the big ass spoiler.

Put the same wheels and tires on an SS, and the SS will still have a higher top speed.

No, i can't suggest you take it back to the dealer you bought it from. So your car is a SS with a V8 correct?

There is NO limiter set at the factory on these cars that I am aware of.

V6 does have a limiter.

The ECM does have a speed limit setting, at least in the convertibles.

I have mine disabled.

The 'speed limiter' is a warning that is set by the driver to sound a tone if set speed is detected. It doesn't disable anything. At least that's how it worked on my 5th gens. I've always had this one turned off.

I have a ss vert. I dont think it has enough power to get much past the 155.. maybe you could get it to 165 if you had enough straight road.. just my thoughts.. hit 155 last week on a "private road".

From what I gather the 1LE should not shut off until 180MPH, is this correct? For what its worth I just bought it with 3500 miles on it. It was a lease, could that have anything to do with it?

Took my 2020 ss a10 to 155 on a road that was closed and under construction. It was only about a mile long, so started shutting it down.

All LT models (including LT1) are limited to 148-149 MPH I believe, while the SS tops out around 180 MPH.

With some exceptions, The V6-LE tops out at 155, and the SS-LE tops out at 175 MPH.

ZL1 can do 198 MPH, but it loses 7 mph in maximum velocity when its a ZLE.

85% of camaro owners are never going to go this high in top speed anyway.

I know this is an old thread and my comment doesn't really have much to do with your issue but I'm just kinda beside myself seeing that you've taken a picture with your phone of the IP while driving at 134 mph
