Eibach Pro Plus kit Install for $750???? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I just purchased an Eibach Pro Plus kit and asked the local race shop for a quote on install of the swab bars/springs. They quoted me $750, seems a little steep to me. I looked around the site but couldn't find anything. Any help would be awesome!

Seems steep. Most shops are $100/hr this to me is a 3-5hr job depending on experience/skill (not much needed this is something a diy guy could tackle at home with basic tools in the driveway)

Yeah I felt like it was steep. They have sway bars/springs at 6.1 hrs/$125 hr. Wish I trusted myself enough to do them myself.

bmr lists their spring install time at 2-3 hrs and f/r sway bar kit install time at 3-4 hrs (surprised me didnt think it took that long) so 6hrs is not as bad as I thought, id shop around anyways its not a highly skilled install pretty basic

With an impact drill the sway bars can be done in a couple of hours in the driveway even if you haven't done them before; when I did mine I had no idea what I was doing and managed to do them in a few hours with just hand wrenches (those torque to yield nuts and bolts are a real pain in the ass without power tools; you can't hand-tighten/loosen them until they're about to fall off). For the first time doing springs you could probably manage all four in ~four hours with all of your tools at the ready and a bit of research beforehand.

If you're not too confident to do it yourself then $750 might be worth the cost (hopefully that includes timing the bushings and alignment).

That is way too much for springs & sway labor on a 5g Camaro. I found that most of these shop charging this amount are not taking into account that our cars do not need spring compressor to remove spring from the shocks. A local shop pretty known charges 280$ plus 50$ for alignment

Seriously, search on Youtube how to do it and just follow the instructions.
