Caught on dashcam....

Saw this on youtube, looks like it was the tail of the dragon, close call with some motorcycles. Wait until the end, someone here in the HBM 1LE?
NSFW language in the clip, turn volume down.

Meh. It wasn't a smart move on the riders' part but it wasn't that big of a deal either. The description says they "barely escape a fatal crash" but I beg to differ.

Illegal pass on a blind turn. Those two guys are soon to be “road pizza”.

I was more interested in the random 1LE caught in the wild.

That Explorer is the MVP for giving those idiot bikers the space to move and not cause a crash

The Dragon is one of the perfect places for people to find their inner stupid. But even with that I've seen dumber things driving back and fort to work.

Same.

Bikers doing dumb things aren't news.

That’s a nice Camaro, good catch! A long long long time ago I saw a goldwing doing that. It took out a small coupe, and injured all the passengers. He was messed up too, but I didn’t feel bad for him.

The more stories I hear about the dragon the less I want to go.

That was the point of the thread.
You don't see a 1LE every day, whereas poor decisions by bikers are more common.

Crappy sport bike riders passing on the inside of a blind curve.... Pure stupidity.... And I ride a sport bike in the canyons.

I hate those type of riders. I almost got taken out on my bike by 2 other riders passing me on a blind curve when a car came the opposite direction. The two idiots split me (left and right). I had nowhere to go if the guy on the left got hit. He would have pushed me into the idiot passing me on the right..

The roads to get there from various parts of NC are far better IMO and not full of asshats that are trying to video blog their latest Dragon record.

Completely agree. The Dragon is by far not the best road around there.

Until last spring i used to live 11 miles from the Dragon on the Tennessee side. I lived near enough the firestation and could hear the fire & ambulances headed to the Dragon to pick up a biker or car wreck. during the summer weekends it was at least 3-4 times a day that medic was called and sometimes the helicopter called LifeStar would land up the road to get them to UT hospital. It's really sad that people are so risky with their lives and can't just enjoy the ride.

It was really disheartening to hear those sirens all the time.. I moved to knoxville and will go back with my 17 SS 1LE to drive, but i prefer weekdays cause there is less traffic
