R.I.P. Carroll. I had an 07 Shelby GT actually upfitted at Shelby Automobiles in Vegas. I missed my change in the 60s(was born in '83) to own a Shelby GT350 while he was still alive but had it in 07. Glad to be living through the second round of muscle car wars
 Carroll Shelby pioneered the second round in a big way just like the first round in the 60s. We all thank him for that.

Of the few legendary names associated with American Muscle cars, Carroll Shelby is one of the biggest there is. He was a pioneer and a true example of someone who started with nothing and lived the American dream. Most important of all, he was a philanthropist and gave back to others. He is going to be missed. My prayers are with his family.
