so crap. I removed the front brakes, re-greased the pins and smeared the backing plate with anti squeal. Went out and did a bunch of hard stops to get the brakes hot. Then started driving around the hood..not quite coming to a complete stop.

All was quiet for 5 mins, then it started again. Squealing when coming to a complete stop. To be sure it was the fronts, the wife and I went to a parking lot and I had her do a bunch of stops while I was standing along side the car. Only the left front squealed.

But it doesn't do it all the time...it seems only when at a certain temp. So I'm convinced this squeal isn't caused by the typical metal to metal vibration as that scenario would squeal all the time.

Z23's going on tomorrow...rinse and repeat.

My Z26's never squeal. However, I ALWAYS use the CRC red spray disc brake quiet on the backing plates whenever I change pads on any car.

I used the CRC disc brake quiet..the orange stuff that you smear on and let dry.

Ok. So I installed the Z23's. Did the break in procedure. Same street, same speeds. Started squealing just like the Z26's. The Z23's did have a rubber backing so I did not apply any goop. Shit.

So I let them cool, reinstalled the stock pads...no goop, no additional grease for pins.
I just simply popped the pins, took out Z23's and slid the stock pads in straight from the old box...no prep.

Went down the same street, same speeds, same bedding procedure. Cruised around the hood...could NOT get them to squeal.

I can say this...after testing all 3 brakes back to back. The stock Brembos (to me) feel stronger. Much better initial bite and just stop better.

I added z23 pads and I dont like them at all. I won't be buying anymore Stoptech products in the near future, switching to Hawk here shortly.
