+1 on air in the intercooler circuit.

Check out my thread here on basically the same symptoms, under nearly identical circumstances (and maybe the same track?): https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=563234

Update with info starts on page 2.

Problem never resurfaced after installing the surge tank in the intercooler circuit.

Cool... I don't know why I haven't bought the reservoir yet. Will definitely do that... Looks like the consensus is the supercharger cooling .. so I will leave the mamo T/B, do the reservoir and see what happens.. this really spoiled my day I gotta tell you.. the car was awesome otherwise

Thanks everyone who helped out again!

Apparently, you have to either modify or, eliminate the plastic rain diverter attached to the underside of the hood with the Cordes unit so, that should be taken into consideration. Wasn't Lingenfelter supposed to be coming out with one?

There was a thread somewhere here where a poster put together the part numbers for most of what was in the ADM kit, and it could all be bought for under $200 if you're willing to piecemeal it from various sources.

I just went with the ADM kit since I was under time pressure with a track event coming up. The Cordes setup is nice, but more expensive, and requires the mentioned modifications. It also sits lower than the ADM, and having the surge tank as high as possible is beneficial to the self purging capability. The ADM kit was also an easy install.

Here's a thread I did on the install for reference: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=564965

You mentioned there are specialized tools required to do the bleed on the factory setup. Do you know what tools those are or what the procedure entails?

I have not seen the actual fittings personally, but my understanding is the 'tool' is a fitting that attaches to the intercooler line at either of the fittings pictured in my thread, and a container goes on top of the fitting to enable purging the air in the system. The tool opens a valve in the fitting on the intercooler line.

Some folks have been able to DIY with different types of containers and funnels, and using a 1/4" ratchet extension to depress the valve in the fitting (which works like a large schrader valve).

FYI,

IAT1 = MAF temp sensor
IAT2 = Fake news, don't look at it
MAT = TMAP temp sensor in back of stock blower

It is likely you have low coolant in intercooler, when MAT gets too high it will pull timing via IAT Advance parameter. It can even make you go negative timing if severe enough (lots of exhaust noise with no grunt). You will not get any codes when this is happening.

That's definitely the cheapest solution, and allows you to DIY the factory bleed process, but it's still easier to open the lid on the ADM (or other) reservoir and check the level. The fact that so many of these LT4s have had issues from the factory indicates that it's not the greatest method of bleeding the system.
