Driver side motor mount leaking?

So car is in the shop today for a few small mods and a retune. On their inspection they found the driver side motor mount to be leaking?

Just surprised as the car doesn’t get driven hard and only has 18k miles. Is this common ?

I’m not familiar with these mounts, they have fluid in them? If this is true and leaking should I have dealer replace it or get aftermarket mounts?

If you have suggestions or part numbers please let me know.

Pic attached.

My car (a 2017 built in may of 2017 with 12600 miles) has the same issue. I plan to replace with an OE component.

Fluid filled mounts help reduce NVH in the cabin. Sounds like you just have a defective one. Can’t say I’ve seen many (if any) posts about this before, so I’m assuming it’s not common.

Yeah looks like its just best to use the oem ones, as i hear the BMR ones transfer alot of vibration inside the cabin.

Ill bring it to the dealer soon and have them replace it. Lets see if they do it under warranty.

I broke one before at the race track. they will break if you do hard launches in your car.
I replaced with BMR solid mounts and never looked back.

track tech threw me off the track - said I was leaking oil all over the track surface.
went back and found not a drop. ran again - he comes back yellign at me some more; but again found nothing.
It must have been completely empty - because they did not say anything else for the rest of the night.

I got away with one side poly engine mount on my LS1 cars. Most cause such an annoying NVH transfer, it's not worth going aftermarket. Unless you're racing a lot and breaking stock stuff.

Did the BMR really add a ton of noise/vibration?

Did the car drive or go into gear hard when the mount started to go?

Hello night owl I know it’s an old post but hoping you’re still watching. I was launching this weekend and heard a noise in the floorboards like when you break open the park brake but louder and more pronounced. After that run I noticed a bit of oil like maybe the face of a dollar bill under the rear part of the motor. Made a couple more runs and didn’t really notice the clunk but this morning it is noticeable, especially when I leave a traffic light from a dead stop. When I tried to back onto my bendpak 4-post something was catching, so I checked and the drivers side catalytic conv was hooking on the crossmember. I’ve been on that lift 100x with no issue, only thing I can think of that would lower the geometry of the header would be the motor dropping eg. broken mount. I will put it in the air and check, but do u think that’s what it might be? I already have the BMR rear end and cradle lockouts so NVH is already piss poor ride after 80mph, so BMR poly is the way to go? Thank you !!!

I installed mine with about 750 miles on the clock,
I think I posted my feedback on another thread. These mounts not only made my headers super easy to install with all the extra space, but they seem to make the engine feel more responsive (more immediate connection power transfer). No noticeable vibration or negatives aside from them being tricky to install because removing the old ones sucks. Also I have had ZERO KR... which was my biggest concern. I would suggest every DIY owner to do these along with their header install.
