I always wondered.

Whatever happened to my Gen5 after I traded it for a BMW in 2018. Guess the new owner wasn't a very good driver.

It doesn't seem like you're that sad about it.

They are going to make some money of it.

Seriously bummed. I put a lot of heart and soul into that car. It's water under the bridge now, sad to see it only lasted about a year after I sold it.

Can't remember all the upgrades, I sold the suspension and gave away most of the other upgrades before I traded it. But it still had the MRT exhaust, the Vmax, custom wheels, and you know... the catch can was worth at least $500!

Wish I would have retained the vintage "RS" logo I got from my brother-in-law (who has a '67) but it was integrated.

The salvager should make a tidy profit on what is left.

I HATE working on the BMW, but the handling is worth it.

You got that right. The vert top alone with it's machinery would be around $1500(along with the cost of piece of mind having a backup).

Man, sucks to see how you took care of that car for so long only for the new owner to destroy it in a year. Of course it could have been the other driver's fault, but still. That sucks.

It's like finding out your favorite ex-girlfriend has gonorrhea. Ok...it's nothing like that.

Full leather interior. Premium sound (Boston) with sub. Seriously miss the HUD. I think the engine only had about 70k. Nothing wrong with the transmission... I could see how someone could make some decent money buying wreaked cars.

I only traded it because I didn't like the ride. I did a full suspension front/rear upgrade with a minor drop, and didn't like it. Seemed to suffer every flaw in the road and just didn't seem as solid.

In hindsight, I think the wheels may have contributed to the issue. Even after I returned the suspension to factory, it still didn't feel like original, or very good, to me. Drove me crazy (pun intended). Now I wish I would not have skimped on the wheels, and got something better. I had the factory wheels powder-coated black, but sold them shortly after "upgrading" to chrome wheels. Factory wheels were probably better quality.

Live and learn.

Miss that car otherwise. Probably should have left well-enough alone.

As long as the gonorrhea came along when she was your ex... well that’s the important thing anyway...

Good to see you back in here.

Same thing happened to my old #23. Except it had a new motor and a LOT more HP before it got wrapped around a pole.
