A8 shutter TSB permanent fix
My 2017 Camaro ss trans started to shutter after 4000 miles. Dealer did the tsb flush. What's the most milleage that anyone has that the shutter hasn't come back? Hoping this shutter dosent happen again.

15,000 miles since mine was done, and still going strong. I'd like to hear from others as well. Especially high mileage cases

That sounds reassuring. I was concerned about after the warranty expires and if it came back. Would it be a torque converter replace or a whole transmission replaced and the cost would I'm sure would be thousands.

I had the new flush done at 35,000 and I now have 47,000. No problems. The transmission should be covered on the 60K drive train warranty if it causes trouble again.

Almost 12000 since mine was done at about 8000 miles on the clock. Mine was doing enough to ensure the tech pulled the transmission and tested the torque converter.
So far since then it's been fine, zero issues...

Had mine done around 31,000 miles. Shudder was never fully gone, but better. within 5000 miles it returned full force. said screw it and traded the car in.

54,000 miles on my original factory fluid in my A8 and no shudder but I am taking it in to have the fluid replaced before my powertrain warranty expires. |

Mine on my 2017 never went away. It was shuddering really bad- and slipping- tach would go up and down. I traded mine in too- after waiting for it over a month at the dealership. I loved the car though and felt it was the tranny bringing the whole car down. Fast forward a year later and I bought a 2016 with MT- could not be happier.

I believe the latest TDB does fix the shutter issue for good. I had mine flushed 2 or 3 times before the latest TSB and it always came back within 2-3k miles. I had it flushed with the new fluid back in march and have put nearly 20k miles on it and it has been rock solid ever since. No issues.

I had my ss triple flushed twice, and new t/c around 12k ish (i don't remember exact mileage), and this was with the previous fluid, not the newest stuff. I sold it at 26k with no problems.

So I had mine flushed literally 1 month before the TSB went into effect. The dealer I took it to was WELL aware of the problem and even knew of the pending fix, they knew what the issue was before I could even finish explaining the symptoms and told me they knew exactly what it was before I could even get to 'shudder' and told me they would need it for a day and get it back to me. It happened at like 25 - 30kish miles. I'm at 47k miles and no shudder still. So I am wondering if maybe the dealer applied the updated fix anyway despite it not being 'released' yet.
