What size is that nut..15mm?
When you say " it’s still more effort than the stock shifter," do you mean shifting from 1st to 2nd? If that's the case, how is it worth it? And do you think this would help with a stock shifter from first to second gear? Just wondering if it would be worth my effort to do this.

Thanks. The only issue I see is that it might be easier for the shifter to pop out of gear? I'm trying to think of downsides to this change. I also have the Hurst shifter.

So how do you guys like the Hurst Shifter?
I was thinking of doing this, but was concerned it all the work would be worth it and if shifting would become more notchy? Now knowing that this mod is needed to improve the shifter gives me more concern about the engagement of the gears. How much shorter is the throw for the OEM shifter?

the Hurst is a 40% reduced throw. this mod has been around for many years and I couldnt find anything on popping out of gear.

Ok jacking up the car. Is the reverse spring recommended. How hard is it to go into reverse?

Wondering if I should go one or two spacers on the anti venom. Second, if I should leave the car jacked up and order the reverse spring.
Edit: ordered the spring I landed on one spacer. I tried two, one, then none. Ate dinner and put one back in. The horizontal wobble in neutral was a bit more than I like with two spacers.

well somebody posted and deleted that 2 washers left a little rattle when in neutral. you could use 1 washer from the above posted ebay kit and 1 Dorman 65277 washer. that would give you .1405" 3.56mm instead of .1770" 4.49mm
the aluminum washers in the ebay kit are .0885" Dorman copper are .0520" +- .0005"
