PLEASE HELP WITH OFFSETS

Could somebody please shed some light on this for me? I am obviously not very bright, as I am having trouble understanding offset. I want to run the 285/30/20 on 20x10 wheels and 305/30/20 on 20x11 wheels set up. I see many people running the 23 offset in front and 43 offset in rear with this set up. I phoned to order wheels and was told that the best offset for me would be 25 in the front and 33 in the rear with those tire and wheel sizes that I mentioned earlier. Is this true? What will the 25 offset in front and 33 in rear do compared to the 23 and 43 that most people run? I know the stock off set for my 2SS is 25 in front and 39 in back, but that is with narrower wheels. Please help, as I want to order wheels right away....

I have 10'' wide front and rear, at 25 mm offset, the fronts fit fine with 285's, as for the wider rears, someone else will have to chime in.

43 in the back is the 'standard' for an 11". This would place the wheel flush with the fender.
The furthest I have seen is 38mm. Some like just a little more.

But 33mm... hmmm. That would be too much in my opinion.

43mm. Pokes out 15mm. Flush.
38mm. Pokes out 20mm. I like this one.
33mm. Pokes out 25mm. :(

A 10" in front is tight. 23mm fits.
A 25mm moves it 2mm closer to the strut. Could be tight enough that you might need a small space. Which is not a huge deal.

Are these custom cut wheels? Or are they selling what they have in stock...that will kinda fit.?

Just as a note, I am lowered, and have MRC option on my car and NO spacer on my wheels, and have about 1/2'' inch to the strut, and have auto crossed and tracked the car on multiple occasions and have had no rubbing issue.

Well there you go. 25mm up front is peachy

Up to you to decide on the rear. Search for 25mm space. Some have done it. You can see what it looks.like.

The 20 and 43 is the 1LE OEM wheel.
Front- 285/30-20x10 ET20 OEM 1LE.
Rear - 305/30-20x11 ET43 OEM 1LE.

Less ET more poke out
43 = flush
38 poke out a bit
33 poke out a lot

Thank you very much for all the help guys. I just ordered up the 20x10 with a 23 offset and a 20x11 with a 43 offset wrapped in Nitto NT555 G2's. 285/30/20 front and 305/30/20 rear.

The info you guys gave me kept me from being sucked in to buying wheels that would have stuck out WAY to far.

I'm not sure if offset changes with different diameter wheels...but this coming weekend I will be installing FS01's with a 10mm spacer in the rear and 5mm in the front.

The wheels are a 25mm offset. Ill add a pic to this thread once they're on. (Extended dorman studs will be going on the rear).

Essentially it'll be what a 15mm in rear and 20mm in front offset looks like. I also run -2.2° front/ -2.5° rear camber, and lowered.

I'm running a 23 offset with the 285 20x10 30 up front and a 305 20x11 30.
The fit is perfect and I'm also lowered 7/8" on all 4 corners.

Hey. Good old Blue Velvet making an appearance.
Sweet color.
Your wheels cant be 30mm in the back. They would poke out something huge.
