To the guys that have them, are the side skirts getting blasted with rocks from the tires and did you put PPF on them? Do they help keep rocks from hitting the side body work?

I think they offer some protection from rocks hitting the side body work, but I had PPF installed on my rear fender. Even with the rock guards and skirts, rocks still find there way to hit pretty high on the rear fender, even above the height of the tire. I think at high speeds any rocks thrown by the front tire get sucked into the rear fender due to wind. Not that my 1LE ever sees high speeds on public country roads, I would never do that...

No ppf on mine but do have zl1 addons rock guards and they are holding up great. Paint is also really good and doesn’t chip easily.

Got the C7 carbon ones installed today (along with my summer wheels). Pretty smooth. Riveted every other hole and used the self-tapping screws otherwise. Comes with enough of both to keep your happy. They are satin, I caught the light just right in the first few pics. Matches the rest of the satin stuff great.

I see you have rock guards on there. Was there any fitment issues with these side skirts and the rock guards?

No issues at all with the ZL1 addons guards. There are issues with the factory guards if you use those.

Any idea how they compare to acs? They are about half the price, which is much more attractive. Do they seem almost like OEM? I’ve heard ACS is basically OEM figment, so I’ve been interested in those (but the price is killer). |

OEM skirts are part of the lower panels, so none of these aftermarket are "like OEM", unless you are asking something else. If you are asking if they look like OEM, yeah, they look great. I think I read somewhere that there were some subtle differences between these and stock, as far as shape, but no one is going to notice. Seriously, multiple people keep asking me if it's a ZL-1, I say, no, it's a 1LE, they say "so it's a ZL-1 1LE?"...lol. Obviously, I haven't seen ACS in person.

Yours look so good. I may end up giving them a go in about a month. I’ve been eyeing the ACS for awhile but hard to feel good about 850 bucks on rockers. |
