I am pretty sure the 6gen TR6060 does NOT have a tail shaft support bearing. I just had my 6060 rebuilt and when reviewing what went wrong and options for the rebuild this support bearing came up. It was said the shaft and case are all machined for the bearing but GM just didn't opt to put one in. Now this 6060 is from a 17 SS, so idk if the ZL1's have them or not, but mine did not.

My trans was in great shape considering the car makes 650+ rwhp and has 50+ passes at the track on it. The plastic shift fork pads showed some abuse for 1-2 & 2-3. The clutch was also in pretty good shape.

The trans locked up because the 2 round magnets in the bottom of the case came loose, got chewed up in the case and jammed it up. The Tremec trans shop said they never seen this happen before, go figure. But a thorough cleaning in a few replaced parts and I am good to go. Just been waiting 2 months for my McLeod RXT clutch, should be here this week.
