Got the New Grille Installed

The new grille has been installed on my 2LT and is looking mighty fine. I also went a step further decided to get the black bowtie and black front fascia extension. So glad I did as it blends in so nice with the new grille and wheels.

There was a bit of a hiccup at the dealership though. I took it in Tuesday and they had it for 3.5 hours. Went and picked up the car and it wasn't completed. They didn't install the air deflectors, bowtie, RS badge or the fascia extension. When I dropped my car, off I showed the service associate all the parts for the grille so he could tell the installer, and also told him that the parts dept. had the splitter. I get there and the job is half done. It went in again on Thursday, and they had to pull the front bumper off again to attach the air deflectors, bowtie and RS emblems. Good thing is they only charged me 1.5 hrs shop time on Tuesday and nothing on Thursday. A little annoyed and stressed thinking they would screw it up Thursday, but everything turned out great and it only cost me $155 CDN total.

So you had the dealership do the install? What did they charge to do it for you? My grill got a piece broken out of it from road debris so I want to do the SEMA grill in mine but I'm not thrilled about pulling the front end off myself!

They charged me 1.5 hrs shop time @ $85/hr (shop rate from my sales rep), but I also had the front splitter installed as well as the black bowties. GM quotes their body shops 1 hour to install just the grille, so 1.5 hrs for everything I had done was fair. My total was $155 including misc parts and tax, but would have been more if my sales rep didn't get me his shop discount.
