Best time to buy a new LT1 or SS?

So i am ready for another camaro. Last time I bought one i got 20% off retail. When is the best time to buy?

If you want new, usually Oct-Dec. I've got the itch again as well. For used, as soon as gas hits $5-$6/gal (I'm in Kalifornia, ymmv)
