Just found this thread with someone put their ZL1 on a trailer and it looks like they used a long piece of 2x8 for the car to sit on to clear plates on the front.

Very first post has the 1 and only picture.

So I owned a trailer but found storage problematic so I sold it. It is much cheaper to get a U-haul trailer for events when I need it. No storage cost. No maintenance costs. About $50 something per day.

I use race ramps to drive it on, but wood would work. In this picture, you can see the wood pieces I specifically had Home Depot cut to keep the front over the lip. I drive it in forward.

The ZLE I believe is slightly lower than my car, but as long as you measure the height to clear the front lip, you are golden.

I just did this today.
I did discover one issue that nobody ever mentioned.
The underbody cross members for the convertible will bottom out on the trailer when you are halfway on. I had to stack 4 2x10’s under each ramp to get an angle that worked.
I also removed the front plates from the trailer. Even with the front shock spacers installed and 2x10’s under the front wheels, it still didn’t clear.

But it’s doable.

Even with a tilt trailer I still have to use Race Ramps and a 1x4 board

Hi,
I have a question about your trailer. I just sold my aluminum trailer because the doors would not open even with the fenders removed. I have the identical car, and I have been looking at new trailers. Not a big selection around FL or GA. Is this an issue at all with the Aluma trailers?

Thanks
Tim
