GPI suggest 3000+ stall on a converter for a GPI SS2 cam, which is where I'm hoping the folks at circle D can give more insight into this. I personally was hoping to keep the stall lower to keep from highway shutters that my 4200 stall had on my 4th gen.
You should be fine on the highway. Mine is perfectly normal until I nail it. Then it flashes and BAM off I go.

When I ordered my converter, I called Circle D and spoke with Chris, really nice guy and gave him all my specs and numbers and what I was using the car mainly for and that I wanted the 4200. They custom build each one for your needs. I also got the billet front plate on it. Took about 3 weeks to get it..

Same here, on the highway I have no issues at all, nice and smooth at 75-80mph. Locks up at 55 in 5th gear..Cruises at 1600-1800rpm.

On the highway cruising at 75 the temps will go down to around 165 or so, and around town normal driving it is around 180-199-200, then when I get going again I can get it back down to around 175-180.. Spirited driving she will run anywhere from 195-210.. Thanks in advance..
Here’s the one I bought. https://www.ebay.com/itm/113885979609
It’s the one without the bypass for cold weather.if I was in an area that got cold for extended periods of time I would have went with the lpd4739 because it comes with the bypass for cold weather.

Highway shuddering or stuttering are from incorrect transmission tuning.Once again I’m running a 3800 Fti triple and have no shuddering etc.
Circle d also makes a good converter.
I just went with Fti because I got a good deal on it.
And yes you will have to get a trans tune done once you install the converter.
Neither one will have shuddering or a studder feeling if tuned correct no matter which stall you choose. You could easily run a 4200 stall on this car and with a good tune would have no ill effects except the engine revving higher when you start out and a fuel mileage drop.
Not saying that’s what you want or need just don’t go with a different stall then your combo needs for fear of it shuddering or stuttering.
