zl1 side skirts

this has been probably asked before but what do you suggest for zl1 side skirts for the 1le? i want them to match the mirrors and front lip. Price is important and so is how they install so any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Pics too! Thanks

Haven't installed them yet (they are sitting here in the box still), but the C7 designs side skirts are fairly economical, replicate the ZL1 skirts well and are not too bad to install. There was another set of side skirts that relied on double sided tape or something ridiculous and they didn't go on well. Lethal Camaro on youtube has done installs on these and is a good guide. The C7 designs were not without a few issues, but the overall installation seems to make a lot more sense to get you something with good fitment and security. They match up well with the paint, but the 1LE matte paint is special and takes a little more lead time, C7 designs explains it at one point in their mega-thread.

Besides a few other companies making side skirts, some of which look like the ZL1 and some of which do not, the actual ZL1 skirts are part of the lower panels, so you get the entire lower part and have to take off the current lower panel (beneath the door) and install the ZL1 one.

On my 2015 1LE, installed those ZL1 side skirts and gave the car the "completed look"

I with the OE skirts, just got them done, waiting the recommended 30 days to put on xpel before I put them on.

I bought the ACS rocker. All prepped for paint (black metallic) however too cold to paint in OHIO. But yes, with the splitter it's a "need to have" My 2 cents.
I also have the GM splash guards, and a thread to Modify those with the ACS's
to fit.
Notice your front quarter panel damage (chips in clear film)??
This (rockers) should help.

I thought the OEM did not fit properly, left a gap at front wheel well .

There is a fix for that floating around this board, it includes drilling a new hole in the mounting bracket getting a few washers and a longer bolt to close the gap.

I went with the ACS ZL1 rockers that come painted satin black to match the 1LE mirror, front lip and rear spoiler. It is an EXACT match. Same paint GM uses. Very happy with the quality. Not cheap, but really gives the car a better look IMO.

As for install, there are some vids on YouTube. I did it myself using a couple spring clamps to hold them in place. Then you simply drill into the factory rocker and use about a dozen rivets per side.

Link to specific thread regarding how to make the ACS rockers work with GM splash guards? Concerns on the fitment with the splash guards is the only thing holding me back.

Not familiar with the C7 skirts and don’t know if the satin black paint is an exact match to the 1LE components.

There's a mega-thread in the cosmetic modifications forum. Looks like everyone that has them is happy and they do the satin just fine.
