ZL1 Emblems

Sorry, I know this has been visited several times b4.

Who is the go guy for blacked out ZL1 decals? Specifically the rear bumper, front bumper and hear extractor. I hate chrome!

Decals or emblems?
If you want emblems that look OEM except black, go to Wildhammer Motorsports.

Alternatively, Emblempros makes quality emblems in a variety of colors. They just are not OEM size/fitment.

Is there a good blacked out version of the ZL1 front grill emblem? I ordered one I thought was right a while ago and it was like.. double the size of the original... lol.

Fishing line and a hair dryer to loosen the glue.

That is how I did it. I also used 3M adhesive remover to clean up any remaining goo.

Yea, I used Goo Gone but it works the same way, then clean the surface really well before re-applying new emblems.

For the front emblem, I bought another OEM chrome emblem and painted it myself.

Braided fishing line works the best. I used Goo-Gone to remove all the remaining adhesive.

The one thing I wish is someone made gloss black emblems, but flat is all there is.

I have a link for flat black emblems with OEM dimensions from China, stupid cheap, if interested. I was surprised, they actually look and feel great. The red inlay on them is epoxied in where as my OEM emblems it is just a vinyl decal. They are hollow on the backside, but you'd never be able to tell unless you remove the black emblem tape for some reason.

FYI the hood and rear emblems are all identical sizes. Grill of course is considerably smaller.
