I'm fine with a V8 hybrid, in fact I would love to see an AWD version.

Some supercars and all F1 race cars are hybrid.

The V6 is a much more viable engine combo than a crappy 4 banger turbo

Boo! They would not let me continue because I correctly indicated that I work for an automotive supplier. :( That is super, super lame.

I am all for hybrid options!

My hunch was right, Chevy wants to copy Ford & Honda ditching the V6 for 2018 is making them seriously considering dropping V6 Level.

It's a known fact that 4 cylinders have to work harder. Yes, they are more efficient, but if you want to keep a car 8-10 yrs a V6 is better in the long run.
Absolutly, they must keep the ever so sweet 335 horse V6

No matter how lousy things turn out, it will be because they asked and listened to customers...Yeah, right...Nobody wanted big V-8s anymore...just look at the survey!...Oh well, it's a fun futile exercise for a meaningless issue....

The dies were already cast years ago....They already have the data from what engine choices customers have already made from what is available now, yet they have no clue what future sales might be?....Ok....got it.

Sorry, but it seems like a lame attempt at some sort of customer impact....Good PR, I suppose, but likely geared to what they are going to do anyhow.
Not new at all. I’ve seen a ton of these during my last several years at GM. Even participated in putting together some of the “test parameters”. Hint...not all the displacement - power - fuel economy combinations are actual. Some are intentionally tilted to gauge at what point individual attributes become important. And it is possible to field multiple surveys with slightly different parameters simulataneously.

Chevy will offer a button / knob to turn it off for the 2019 Cruze. They better have the same for the Camaro.

This is exactly why 5 months ago, I did something I never thought I would do...
I bought a 4cylinder Camaro.
The times have changed. Now is the time to get ahead of the curve.
Small displacement/hybrid is the future.....

They've probably sold more than twice as many V-6 Camaros since 2010 than all the other available power plants combined....Then put out a preference questionnaire to existing owners that doesn't even include the most popular power plant to date as a choice in the future. They must be really starved for data that fits their plans....lol...

Very true. I took part in countless surveys as a member of the GM Owners Advisory panel over the years and it was clear how they tilted the surveys.

Another reasoning for T4 replacing V6 is the amount of torque they output. As found with Mr. Russ's Mazda CX-9, that 2.5 T4 makes 350 lb/ft (provided you're using premium fuel). Same as the new GM 2.7 T4 in the truck making 348 lb/ft. Now, both of these are meant for SUV/Truck applications, so in a performance car those number will change. Even the Mustang and Focus RS make mid-300 tq and thats what most drivers actually feel in a street car. Most people cannot actually have enough road to stretch the legs on engines where the HP can take over.

It's actually her second one, we got the first new model in 2016 but it was totaled in an accident. We liked it so much we promptly got another one, same trim, color, etc...

I like the Cx9 as much as the next person but 7secs to 60mph isnt fast. Pilot is a sec faster so you need to recalibrate that butt dyno.
