Customize your weather tech floor mats!

Okay, don't beat me up on this DIY as I just wanted to share how you can have some sweet looking mats

What you Need:
-Digitial fit weather tech floor mats
-1/16th x 1-1/4" x 3 FT of alum. flat bar stock from your local hardware store.
-Sand paper 240 and 320 grit
- SS emblembs that come with tape on the back side
-valspar clear anti-rust spray paint (says no yellowing)
- Epoxy to glue them down

What you Do:
-Remove sticker decal that says "weathertech floor mats" in the floor mats
-Use it as a stensile and trace it on the aluminum bar stock.
-cut it out
-going only ONE direction with the 240 first. Make about 30 passes going in only one direction (the long ways).
-switch over to 320 grit and repeat.
-wipe off with alcohol.
-I used a little of metal polish to get it shinny (optional).
-measure and place decals on the inside
-paint (I put on 3 to 4 coats).
-epoxy the back and stick on the mats

Sit back and enjoy

Wasnt too expensive. with all the supplies and decals about 15 bucks per floor mat. I also will do the trunk one too.

I ordered my Camaro 2013 1le 1ss that isnt here yet and who knows when it will show up so I keep finding projects to kill the time
