1LE SC3R Seam in Tread

Odd but I noticed this after a track day last weekend. Its only on the RF and goes the circumference of the whole tire. (Its that seam in the middle right tread.)

Tires have 10 track sessions on them and about 500 miles of street driving all in track alignment.

I had the dealer install these and I assume this should be a GY warranty replacement if its a defect?

Any thoughts on what this is or why?

Thanks,
Pat

Hard to tell from the pic but def not a defect that i would personally chase. Its not cracked right? Rubber can move in funny ways when hot. Id run it and not think twice.

That's a mold parting line.

Normal.

Thanks,

Just struck me as odd as there are two track days on these and none of the other tires have this.

I figured anything like this would be worn past by now.

Appreciated the responses
Pat

That's a RF? That is very strange, doesn't look like a crack at all and after 500 miles and 2 days/10 sessions the fronts are usually not only worn way beyond a seam like that, they are nearly cording and shot. My front 3Rs wear about ~2x fast than rears on track.

Are you running ZLE track camber at -2.7?

I agree.. I would have thought any of that would have been worn away at this point.

Yep -2.7. Im super impressed with the wear honestly. They did pretty good with the Toe so its not killing the insides like alot of guys get. Ill see if I can find the sheet.

Its not like Im not driving hard either but think Im fairly smooth and im not over driving so I think that helps. Plus im pretty mindful of 36PSI hot and keeping in the recommended air pressures for what thats worth.

Also alot more right turns then lefts, so my left sides are a bit more worn. Not much but noticeable.

I may send this to the dealer to get their thoughts as I have them do the maintenance and tire changes alignments etc.. I dont know how comfortable I am knowing thats there the way it is.

Its more like a cut line not a rubber seam.

Heres some typical laps..I did 6 sessions 4 weeks ago, and 4 last time out 2 weeks ago. Each session no less than 10mins no more than 20.
