Then you have to remember the first 2500 or so made will probably sit in quality control for 30-45 days like the first 5th gens did.

As I recall, actual shipping had started, thus builds such as mine in QC Hold were in the field. A reason we were able to figure out was the cables from the trunk mounted battery to the engine compartment had to be replaced but I do not believe Chevy ever admitted that. I also suspect a second reason which remains unknown

I still believe my car will ship this Friday, oct. 30. I hope so, cause I have a lapel pin from Becky at Rodgers Chevy riding on it...................with her contest and all.........................But hey, as far as the QC hold is concerned do what you have to do to the car and do all of the inspections so the wheels don't fall off, put the car in the testing water downpour so there is no leaking anywhere and call it a day.............
By the way, I viewed the Camaro 5th gen video that national geographic put out on the assembly of the 5th gen. Very impressive. The plant itself is 8 million square feet of mega factory Camaro-ness. But, of course for the all new 6th gen the lansing, mi. plant is the new home of Camaro assembly building. Anybody know how big the lansing plant is?

The article below is taken straight from WLNS.COM website concerning today's roll off......
LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – In addition to the big tentative agreement, it’s going to be a big day for General Motors as the automaker will launch the new Camaro on Monday. The sixth generation Camaro is set to officially roll off the assembly line at the Lansing Grand River Plant in front of workers and the media. When that happens, 6 News will be there. We will bring you much more as the story develops throughout the day.
