How are we going to break down the weight of each option on the SS?
1SS vs 2SS
Mag Ride vs No Mag Ride Manual vs Auto NPP vs Regular exhaust |

It would be nice to know what each option adds, but I don't see it as being a deal breaker for getting the options.
I think people are making too big of a deal over the weight. If MRC adds 100lbs, then I agree - that's a big deal. If it adds 20lbs, that's negligible to me. I guess my main take away from the recent weight discussions from nay sayers and m6g.com is that GM is still lying about the weight, they gave reviewers ringers, and the body in white weight is impossible to be accurate. I can't wait for these things to hit the streets, and put some mouths in their place. This car is going to be a beast. I have never seen a car reveal, performance reveal, weight reveal, and reviews ruffle so many feathers. I don't understand. |

Your going to have to wait until actual owners weigh they're cars with various options. GM id not going to break the weights down like that.
In a street car driver skill and the weather are going to impact its performance far greater than 100 lbs of static weight. Unless your removing 200+ lbs of static weight there is barely any distinguishable difference. I would get exactly what you want options wise. Then if you really want to lose weight somewhere that it will make a difference start looking into some rotational weight saving options like wheels.

I will take data from people having their cars weighed.
1SS base manual stock rims (No MRC or NPP) 1SS base auto stock rims (No MRC or NPP) 1SS base with any trans with MRC 1SS base with any transaction with just NPP 2SS base (No MRC or NPP)

Can't wait till people start getting their cars in and getting the actual weights so all this can be put to rest.

Get the options you want for sure but 200 lbs makes enough difference to tell. Harder to feel from a roll but very noticeable otherwise. That's what people get from swapping to alm. heads from iron,+ headers from manifolds,+ gut the interior or fiberglassing the front end. If NPP and MRC add 50-80 that will be hard to tell the difference seat of the pants.
