I think I'm set on the decision. I'm gonna get a sunroof. I'll just pass on the stripes over the roof. I'll be happier with it than without, because I love sun and wind in the car while I'm driving. Not to mention, this is brilliance:
Hehe.

1st Camaro, Love it

I'm 6' and have a sunroof so height is no problem. I have a black interior so the extra amount of light coming in even through a closed sunroof just makes it seem less like a cave inside. But I think it is really a case o what you like/want.

Man-Cave...
Hi Everybody,
I just wanted to update my perspective on the sunroof. I mentioned I had a friend who was 6 feet tall like me and he claimed that his head was hitting the inside of the roof on the Camaro with the sunroof. After talking with him again, I realized he is 5'10 AND, he told me he remembers having the seat UP as high as it could go, which makes little sense to me!?!? This clarifies why I am 6 feet and thought there was plenty of room inside with the sunroof. I plan to get the all-black interior and I agree that sometimes it is cool to have the man-cave vibe and other times it is great to light it up or air it out.

I like the reverse mohawk look and fully intended to go without the sunroof, but I bought my car off the lot and it just happened to have the sunroof option on it already. I've had sunroofs on most of my other cars and didn't really use them that much, but for some reason... I really like it in this car. That extra light really helps with the short windows all around you. It opens it up a little. My vote is go for the sunroof, you'll forget all about the mohawk in short time.

Yeah, the only plus side opposing the sunroof option is being able to put my stripes over the roof instead. But man, that sunlight and wind you get from the sunroof when it's open...

I wanted your wheels with mine at first but then I started looking at aftermarket wheels that are about half the price of the ones you have and I do have to admit I like some of the aftermarket options better than those ones. They look similar, but better, and half the price = sold for me. Do you have any more pictures of your car that you could post up though? I haven't seen many cars at all with color-matched GFX, especially in the rear. I'd love to see the yellow, ABM, IBM and SW with color-matched GFX.

I'm going through a similar decision...as well as exterior color
T-Tops would be ideal; keeping the reverse mohawk and letting in the air/light. I was almost considering waiting to see if it would be offered on the 2011, but it's probably too soon... |
