My SS M6 has never done this.

not normal.the car should not do this,no matter how old or new it is.with so many cars doing it,it does sound like a tune problem.

Not good - mine's the auto and when AFM kicks in, sure - it reduces power, but you really can't tell, and adding a little gas to it makes it boost right up to where it should be. Yours being a M6 - very strange!

As far as power and what not, I made 383 at the wheels with just the LMR and Corsa. So its not changing the amount of "Go" it has, but As you said Strange... Freaky... YES both of those, but above all, ANNOYING!

Has it changed since the tune? If so, I'd really look at all the intake connections.

If it's done that since right after the tune, I'd take it back to the tuner and have them check it out. Surging is a lean condition.

You could try putting your stock air box back on and see if it improves. If that improves it, then it just needs better tuning for that CAI.

I was one of the first 20 to get the New Era unit back in August and I was the first to report the bucking problem. Do a search for "herky jerkies" and you'll read all about it! I had to return mine because it was so annoying! Check out the Vararam threads also,they are having the same problem. These cars have a very sensitive ECM with regards to air flow, too much and you'll get the bucking. I installed a Roto-Fab and get no bucking at all but I'm sure I'm sacrificing a little power and air flow but it's very drivable!

Thanks SSMike, Also I want to send a message to all those guys out there who always say "did you use the search function?" Here is my perfect example... Who would think to search "herky jerkies"?!?!? I'm not , but I def have a smirk on my face. May this be a lesson to anyone who wants to hang a newb, sometimes searching is harder than just putting in "car serges", or "bucking car", or "surge under low throttle" ect ect ect. Once again thanks SSMike Ok don't wanna get out there in left field.

Cody

Can you tell I got hung once?

Well after 108 posts... I learned a few things...
Ram Air= Myth (as if I didn't already know?)(lets just call it fresh air hole)
Some people want to fight
herky jerkies= real
Stock= some herky jerkies
CAI= also some herky jerkies
Dealer was CONFUSED!

So here is the million dollar question........
Anyone else have their check engine light come on, and throw lean codes????

happens to me all the time when I'm driving in town from my place to the highway, but only if it's cold and I don't let it warm up before I leave. I just figured it was something that happened when it was cold....but she sure warms up fast

Your welcome, and I agree that sometimes the search does not do a good job at finding what you need unless you are very specific.
