Meth/procharged
Currently running a d1x with 10lbs of boost. Curious on what meth kit I should run(alky). What nozzles, how many, set area, and most of all why should I?

Have you changed out any of the stock fuel system at all?

If the engine is still on the stock fuel system then you have a ticking time bomb on your hands. You definitely need the Meth kit asap for fueling, cooling, and octane. 10lbs is pushing the octane wall of 93 with the LT1's high compression and well past the stock fuel systems limits.

if your installing your own meth kit i'd go alky as it comes with install instructions compared to the RPM custom kit i bought, its definitely not as advertised. Some stuff missing. I'd upgrade stock fuel system though, and internals if your trying to push more power. Right now i'm having a DSX Aux fuel issue, doesn't appear to be turning on so car isn't getting enough fuel.

Cars a 1le and internals and what not will be changed later. I’ll only need to do high side and injectors when I get around to it. But back to the concern about meth size and amount of nozzles.

High side and injectors should be your number one priority at this point.

Just did the Alky Control MAP based system with dual #10 nozzles. Install wasn't bad. You have to bend the pump attachment strap to clear the fender.

My intank pump should be fine being the lt4 pump. I don’t want it as a fuel sup. The tuner I’m going through said to going dual nozzle, just never replied to why I should.

He has a 1LE so it already has a LT4 low side... just needs LT4 high side and a JMS booster.

Thanks man and yeah ik about the fuel side of things just was trying to get more of a input on meth. Haven’t seen anyone post what size injectors they go with and why. Not trying to have meth as a fuel sup but more for what it’s intended with temps. I’ll be able to run e occasionally. ( not all to knowledgeable on meth, I get how it works just haven’t looked to much into it) just know I’ll be talking with my tuner tomorrow and see why he said that I need to be 2 nozzles.

I just realized why you've gotten away with the stock LT1 hpfp and injectors, your location of New Mexico. The higher altitude means thin air so you are not making the kind of actual power at 10psi of boost that we'd expect at low altitude.
As far as meth injection, dual nozzles to me means a lot of fuel. If you truly want the system more for cooling than for fuel supply, then I would suggest instead a water/methanol injection system (like AEM or Snow) and use windshield washer solvent. This would mean a lower amount of methanol was being injected, as the solvent is around ~35% methanol at the -20º formulation from what I've heard. The water would do a lot of the cooling. |

I Understand this, I've been looking into the lt4 fuel area just trying to find the best deal and to make sure they are the correct parts. I understand ill need to get the fuel upgraded thats being bought Monday, reason for this is to see why my tuner was saying to go dual nozzle(unless he's wanting it as a fuel additive). I don't want meth to sup fuel cause thats a nightmare, was originally trying to stay away from it. Ill be doing the injectors and hpfp, which will be needed anyways for the level ill be at to run e. Running meth will not be a all the time thing either and don't want to depend on it, so wanting to see what system to go with to no do that. to my understanding alky is the the(only kit) to use.(they're other out there ik that)
