Chevrolet performance intake

Hey everyone! I’m looking to buy the Performance Air Intake system that Chevrolet sells for my 2021 LT1. From what I gather, it comes with a code that you take to the dealer and they will tune it for you. I’ve heard some people say the dealer isn’t tuning it anymore, is that true?

dont know about that. supposedly you pay for them to install it and the tune it for free. if you install it then they just charge you to tune it. people have been saying that you can't get the GM CAI any more because GM isnt selling them. I never knew that myself though.

GM discontinued, I couldn't find a dealer who would do the tune on my '21, started searching last April. It doesn't affect me anyways, so I gave up trying to get the tune.

I would just go buy the Cold Air Inductions CAI - if you really want one. Had I known the tune would be discontinued when I bought it, probably would've left the intake stock.

I had mine done recently at a dealer, but paid out of pocket because the CAI was not new. Alot of information needed and hoops to jump through to get the tune approved, (serial number, carb sticker, etc) but I'm in Cali so it was the most trouble-free (and legal) route. If you're looking for a CAI, I also have one---PN 84651227

I installed mine myself and took it to the dealer and got the tune for free with the code on the manual that came with the CAI... This was back in Jan 2020, the intake is no longer available from GM...

They aren't selling or tuning them anymore. I asked about that when I ordered my car at the beginning of this year.

Correct, I think 2020 or 2021 was the last year...

we bought a 2020 in 2021 and purchased the CAI from someone else brand new. it was a pita to get our local chevy dealer to do the tune but they did it-or so they said. car spent all day there.
was $330 for tune and oil change.

if I had it to do again, I'd probably have gone aftermarket.
