18 vs 19" apex wheels

Looking to get a little feedback from those of you who have tried both or have one or the other. Trying to decide what to go with. Both will be square setups.

With 18's I get the ability to use take-off's and they are a bit lighter, with 19's I can use the SC3's and be able to rotate them around, giving me maybe 1-2 more days out of my tires.

I like the SC3 tires and they are a great balance between price and durability. If I go 18's I pretty much have to find a replacement or just always use scrubs or purchase new R7's.

Just hoping to see some different viewpoints that will push me one way or another, thanks.

Hard to beat the SC3s imo...

I went with ZLE sized staggered setup, if you're interested in 19x11 et35 Anthracite SM-10s I've decided to let them go. I have the spacers and longer wheel studs with them as well. Great shape, in OEM boxes, $1350 for everything. Msg me if you're interested...

I'm towing the car, mostly HPDE but I want to get into time trials and some hill climbs next year.

Thanks, I'll keep this in mind if I decide to go with the 19's.

I have both 18s and 19s and if I could have only 1 set, it would be 19s. More choice of tires that are near the diameter of the stock sizes.. I'll be running the 18s more next year, but with dedicated slicks.

I use them for autox and I feel like the largest tires you can get out back the better, and a staggered setup is much less likely to anger the ABS system. I also have roll bars, an aggressive alignment, and GMPP rear diff tune so my experience may not apply to a more stock setup.

I also plan on getting another set of ZLE sized wheels w/ SC3s for track, but for now I'm using the OEM SLE wheel/tire package with very good results. The autox setup works surprisingly well, very neutral and puts the power down better vs stock on corner exits.

18s and scrubs all day long. Wish I did that from the start.
Make sure your knurled beads are unpainted. My 19's have tires rotate on rim like crazy :(

Been using 19" 305 true square setup for 4 years and love it with SC3Rs. Looking at adding 18" for slicks or Hoosiers etc for NASA TT. However, most TT events in my area are restricted to 200TW (except NASA) unless you run unlimited. Mainly depends on what you want to do with the car and what tires you want/need to use.

I have 2 sets of 19 Apex Arc and 1 set of Z28 wheels. I love the 19" and the SC3R for track are sweet. I have a set of PS4S for rain/ street .I was thinking in going with 18" for scrubs but I couldn't find a good reliable source for tires and your stuck with limited options. Also didn't want to start to have issues with nannies or ABS.
