We need winter wheels

This is a growing concern of mine. We are now in the hot season for winter wheels and tires. These cars are being delivered with summer onlys in the middle of winter. For those that this will be their daily in the north, what are you expecting to do when you receive this car in freezing temps and no idea what wheels and tires fit?

I have same concern.... I called Tire rack on Monday, and they still don't have correct recommendation on wheels/tires package for our cars.

I contacted three sellers on ebay (specialized in wheels) and all of them weren't sure if their 19" wheels will clear Brembo. (I'm actually planning for 6 piston upgrade later)

So I was going to pick up some gen5 20" wheels but I read on this forum it won't fit on gen6.....

Quick question...

Why did you go the 56F (For $2000) extra set of wheels route when you were going to sell the stock wheels anyways, and not get the 56V (for $200)? Which are the same wheels but no extra 2nd set?

Really early order before 56V was available?

Not the same wheels, 56F is split spoke, 56V is solid spoke.

Huh. Ok.

I was going by the 2 different copies of the order guide:
Quote:
56V Wheels 20" x 8.5" (50.8 cm x 21.6 cm) front and 20" x 9.5" (50.8 cm x 24.1 cm) rear 5-spoke low gloss Black aluminum
Whereas the 56W and 56R actually do say "5-split spoke" and not just "5-spoke" like the 56V does.

Must be a typo in the guide(s) then, because I agree with you that... according to here:

http://www.chevrolet.com/camaro-spor...cessories.html

56F is a split 5 spoke.

Thanks for setting me straight.

For my needs 19s and 20s are not suffice for winter, they will be bent in no time.
