That's the one. The original battery should have had a rubber host plugged in there and out through the floor. Check for a plug in the new battery before putting the vent hose in.

There is a vent hole in the new battery, I inserted the rubber hose.

Uh, that battery is clearly marked as "deep cycle". That type of battery is designed primarily for use in recreational vehicles (vans, 5th wheels, travel trailers, etc) that have a lot of onboard devices that use relatively long-duration but low amp current.

Deep cycle batteries are designed for those long duration but low amps loads. They are not optimized for high draw / short duration loads, like starting engines.

Sure, it can be used in a car, but its life will not be impressive. The best batteries for cars are ones designed for cars, not RVs.

Note that for the batteyr in the photo, the "C100" rating is NOT a "CCA" (cold cranking amps) rating.

Hello,
When replacing the battery, is it possible that the remote controls lose some of their functions?
best regards

If the remote does not seem to work on one or more functions, there are 3 possibilities:

1. An individual circuit fuse has been blown

2. An individual circuit device has failed (e.g. a door lock solenoid or a trunk release)

3. The battery inside the REMOTE is getting weak. That battery needs to be replaced periodically. The frequency of required replacement depends upon how often you use the remote. if you use your car for lots of short trips every day, it is conceivable that you might need to replace it every 6 months. A year or more is more likely if your usage is more moderate.

Automotive remotes usually use one of the "CR" series "button shaped" batteries. But you have to make sure you get the CORRECT "CR" series battery. They come in different physical sizes and different voltages.

Also, if you are not familiar with how to do the replacement, read the section in the user manual that describes how to do it. If you try to do it incorrectly, you can break the remote, and replacements and re-programming can be quite expensive.

Also, be sure to observe the correct polarity: one flat side of the battery is positive and the other flat side is negative. The batteries are marked to show which side is which.

The key fob battery is a CR2032.
I suggest buying these 5 or 10 at a time off ebay. They always seem to come from Brooklyn for some reason. Must be the CR2032 capital of the world!

Hey, that's convenient! That's the same battery as used in my Ford Maverick, so yes, I just ordered a 4-pack of CR2032.

The remote works, the battery is new, it's not her that makes me have her breakdowns.
