Can someone educate me on switching from mag ride to coil overs

I'd like to know pros and cons of adding the dssv coil over vs mag ride that I currently have on my ss or zl1 not really about ride cons or pros but about the electronic part of making the switch and if it will mess up anything and what's needed.

I have a pretty good write up on my journal about the handling differences. Install is pretty easy.

You just have to add xineering shock sims into the mag ride harness, and then you can install any coilover/shock you choose.

The only downside is you do not have an electronically adjustable suspension.

Aftermarket coilovers can outperform mag ride, mag ride is just nice because it has a wide range of usage from its adjustability.

I have these to put on..

What's all needed is it just bolt on then pluging some kind of thing into the sensors.

Could I get a link please to the write up.

Xineering OBD Shock Sim great option... Or just purchase a wrecked ZLE Shock Module... as they don't look for the sensors.

Other than that, install and enjoy!

I also have a complete set of like new DSSV's F&R including springs if someone is interested.

Best regards,
Dave

It’s just one, located underneath trunk floor panel on drivers side rear. I’ll try to find a pic for reference.

Pic of a unit below… still looking for a location shot.

Best regards,
Dave

Yep! That’s what I did when I first converted my ‘20 ZL1 to the ZLE DSSV suspension!

If you lift up trunk panel, you can’t miss it on left rear.

Best regards,
Dave
