Question ZL1 hood and rain / washing car ?

Does any electronics components or wiring gets wet due the opening in the ZL1 hood ?

During the Florida monsoon summer season or washing a ZL1 will water seep into areas where water shouldn’t be ?

Sorry for the silly question.
Thanks

Be careful to keep your crack covered so something doesn't seep in!

There is a water diverter on the underside of the scoop that collects the water and directs it to fall right in front of the accessory belts, where it has a mostly straight shot at the ground. Gm’s not going to sell a car that can’t handle some rain.

I even removed the rain diverter and have no issues when washing the car.

Mostly...
straight on the steering wheel module !!!
Then you have some rust building
Then a TSB on that module to protect it...

If you think about it, when your drive in a torrential downpour, behind a truck, with 18 wheels kicking up water, *everything* gets drenched. Electrical connectors are far beyond what they used to be. Not even an issue anymore.

When I wash my car I always put a chamois in the crevis of scoop to keep most of the water from entering engine bay.
