I thought briefly about holding out for a 22, but with all the production rumors floating around I just didn’t want to chance the tree hugger at GM axing the ZL1 mid-year or something to prop up their fake carbon footprint numbers.

My neighbor a few doors down has one and Ill have to say it looks pretty amazing in person. He has the ZLE and it really stands out.

Congratulations gtfoxy on the new ZL1. Good color too. I’m planning on hanging onto my 2017 since I haven’t had any issues with the engine and I just can’t afford to upgrade to a newer year ZL1. I just bought a semi restored 1970 VW Beetle and that will be my toy for awhile now.

It will look awesome. I have a garnet red 2SS and this color is pure royalty, I imagine red cherry might even be a bit better.

I'm trying to hold out too. I wanna see what the Z06 brings and what GM does to send off the ZL1. But I'm also concerned about what the price might be if they do a serious upgrade.

I say keep the standard ZL1 as it is with the same price or a slightly increased price. Keep the ZLE the same also. And then offer up a Z28 with mega HP and ZLE-ish handling and with full options. It would have to be 750-ish HP considering the HC RE is 797, the GT500 is 760, the Super Stock is 807, and the Z06 and ZR1 will be available. It has to be something to significantly increase the performance over the standard ZL1/ZLE. And it would have to MSRP lower than $80K. I honestly do not see any of this happening tho.
