So theres a few fallacies that give meth a bad rep, imho.

Its pretty easy to make it a fail safe...... just set your timing table to pull all the timing when your IATs go above xxx*F. Meth cools... so if the system fails, your iats go through the roof.... if you dont have timing, you will be fine.

Dont try to run a small amount of meth. Usually a 10/15 twin is a popular combo. It's enough to supplement a decent amount of fuel but also, if it shits the bed, your motor will go so lean that it will throw it in limp mode. It wont let you stay in it.
have a friend with a 5th gen LS3 built motor and the solenoid stuck open what the fail safe for that? You can compress to much fluid bent the heck out of the rod!

He used straight meth.

Honestly all the Cars I pat attention to in Houston I've never seen any mix water with it. I think the mixing goes more towards the imports. It's probably less dangerous used as cooling vs making up for an inadequate fuel system.

I can remember from 2010 to 2014/15 people sprayed for cooling primarily and sometime after that no matter 5th or 6 gen people where using it as fueling all the time.

I used meth for 1 dyno session on my 5th gen I had a terrible blower the ls 2300 edelbrock 3 passes on the dyno and had to refill the washer bottle. Needless to say I just pulled the kit off it worked for sure dang snout would ice over. A month later went twin turbo ago kit.

Great responses guys

Upgrading fuel system to run E85 costs as much as the supercharger kit did haha

Even with lt4 fueling and more boost I'm still gonna get higher IAT's

800 rwhp, 9-12 lbs of boost through a p1x. With procharger's stage 2 a2a intercooler and dual nozzle meth, I never see more than 5* over ambient on my IAT's.

My wife's eforce 2.3 makes that you should have no problems what so ever on 93.. a good set of headers, a efficient blower, and cold air intake should do that.

Here is her build a long the way...

Stock w eforce and can tune 551 rwhp
Eforce, headers, and rotofab 578 rwhp
Eforce, headers, rotofab, LT4 injectors, and DSX aux pump, 613 rwhp and 666tq

We picked up the car in Nov 15 and she been supercharged since early 2016 no problems so far other than front seal leak and axels bolts that backed out all covered under warranty. Still on stock clutch about to turn 70k. She drives it freaking hard harder than I drive mine No lift shifts and all..

You have your IAT sensor right behind the throttle body (mounted in the manifold), correct? Meaning that you are spraying the sensor with 2 nozzles of methanol? This being the way that you set up your IAT table for the lack of methanol, because if there is no spray of methanol on it, readings are different?

With a properly working intercooled supercharger there is no concern of High IAT.

invest in the LT4 fuel system for an OEM like reliable no baby sitting 600 RWHP.

Ted.

correct. I drilled and tapped my MSD for my IAT sensor.

You don't need to run full E85. Run E50-60(102-106 octane), it's all you need. It takes roughly a 60/40 mix pump E/93 to get around E50. LT4 fuel system should handle that on 8-9psi. E will allow full timing with higher IAT's without knock.

I actually had that happen to me. it's pretty simple

if you are at WOT: there is no fail safe, because the system is operating like it normally would

if you are not at WOT: it will run like complete crap, if it can even idle (mine barely did), as you are dumping a bunch of fuel in it. unless you are one of those people who feel the need to "send it" when their car is obviously not running right, common sense should kick in.
