Get under the seat with a flashlight and see if you got a connector loose.

They will not cool you until they are getting cool air to push through. They are not cooled seats, just ventilated.

I think I know what you are saying... I'm a bit disappointed at how weak the ventilated seats work. Initially I feel the cooling kicking in in my seats but I still get all hot and feel like the seats not cooling on a hot day. Tried max but won't cool enough.

I always have mine on and my ac settings are pretty much set on 70. I can tell that the air from the seat is there but varies quiet a bit. I think it has to do with cabin temperature and not the actual AC. If that is the case, I would think that it is a bad design since it takes a while for the cabin temp to drop, and by the time it is cool enough to feel, you are already cooled. It should pull the air directly from AC imo. But still, it's better than not having it.

I dunno... I feel like they work pretty damn well. Especially with how hot it has been here the past couple days.

If You think they are not working, Just listen for the Fan in the seat, If it runs, Turn the AC to blow on the FLOOR, they will cool Your Backside in short order!!!

Test drove a 2SS vert today, and I couldn't feel the seat blowers at all, turned up on high. I had a rental mustang for almost a month, and they were my favorite feature. Is the consensus that they don't work well, or really don't work at all? And are they actually tied into the AC system, fan system, or independent? Since there are 3 settings for the cooling mode, I would have thought they would be independent of the AC or fan, but ??

Your comparing cooled seats to ventilated seats.

Ah, the mustang is cooled vs. Camaro ventilated? Man, that could change things up a bit. . .

I have the ragtop - you dont really feel them with the top down but I sure feel them with the top up.

Like others mentioned, they are ventilated. There is no freon flowing in the seats, its just a fan blowing the air from the floor behind your back.

This. It's not a thermoelectric unit, just a fan.
And I think the fans work like it should.
When I have the AC at around 68-70 in auto mode and have the ventilated seats on, I can feel the cool air blowing.
I'm satisfied with mine, but maybe because I wasn't expecting much from it.

This sounds like a case of people not understanding how to make it work correctly. As said you need to have the AC blowing atleast partially to the floor. Then the seat fans will move the cool air into the seat and you will feel it. Otherwise if you are just running the seat fans, it will suck up the hot air from the floor and do nothing. Thats too bad its not real cooled seats. +1 for the mustang I guess.
