To the NON daily drivers, how much gas do you keep in the tank?
What it says....
Mostly wondering about car that sits more than it's driven requiring premium fuel. |

I try to fill up once the gauge reaches 1/4, and almost always do it by the time it reads 1/8. Had the low fuel light come on only once in 3 years.

Half to full. Never been below half a tank. I've owned her since 5 miles on the odometer. I will throw a bottle of stabilizer in her this winter. Doesn't sit longer than a month without being driven.
We can see too far.

I don't keep any particular amount of gas in the tank at any given time except winter storage. (Full with Stable additive). When I do put gas in, it's always a full tank. That goes for any of my vehicles.

Usually try to keep it full, and plugged into a battery tender

I usually fill up when I'm a little below half so I can keep the 10:1 ratio for the octane boost.
I dive mine one a week usually. For long term storage you want a full tank to prevent condensation and a stabilizer additive.

I run non ethanol fuel and put fresh gas in it every time I drive it. For the winter I will dump a bottle of k100 in it

I drive mine about once a week - maybe twice. I fill up when between 3/8 - 1/2. I don't bother with fuel stabilizer. I fill up with Costco 93. They have such high volume their fuel is always fresh.

no dd but it gets driven a lot. i typically fill it up (ethanol) at least once a week(end) unless the weather doesn't cooperate. during winter i'll fill it up with gas in late november usually and it'll sit on full until mid march.

To me, half equals empty...so full. We are always one news story away from gas lines.

I live in Texas, so there are more good days in the year for driving than Northern climates.
I run E85 99% of the time. Because there are times when E85 is difficult to find I never go below a third tank. Then there's always five gallons stored in the shed that gets rotated every few months. I also have a GTO that's stored in the garage. It's E85 exclusive and I use the electric fuel pump to drain it the best I can. There's a fuse on the fuse block that can be jumped to run the electric fuel pump as desired.
