Aero add ons for 19 RS?

Hopefully this is the right place to post this. I have done a few bolt ons for power on my 19 3LT RS, and plenty of cosmetic changes. The car handles great but sometimes I feel like its not giving me quiet enough confidence at higher speeds and/or in the sharp turns. This car is a daily driver but I take it to some mountain roads and twisty roads when I can. The car isn't tracked.

I was looking at a few upgrades I could do like a lip splitter, and maybe a wing? I wasn't looking to drop a ton of money into it so any "cheaper" options that actually help would be helpful. And no, I don't just want what looks cool, id rather have the option that actually works.

I found some splitters under $400 and I'm open to options for spoiler/wicker bill/wings but I would rather skip that if it can't be done without using the factory lip spoiler holes. Any other ideas appreciated.

99% of aero parts are just for looks i added a front lip and asc composites wing but doubt they do anything to help with aero on track

Gotcha. I did update my post to clarify but I don't track my car. I just want it to handle better in the twisties when I push it. From what I can tell, the 1LE aero pack adds a lot more downforce and grip, so adding a 1LE lip and maybe something for the rear does seem like it would help out some, even if just a little.

I installed a ZL1 splitter, side skirts and wing. I drove the car before and after each install. I definitely detect a difference at higher speeds, usually around 80+mph though. The latest install was the wing which I can feel pushing the back end of the car down on the highways.

I went with wider tires. 275/35r20 on fronts and rears (I daily drive 60+ miles each day so having the option to rotate was a must). Wider tires will help keep you planted in the turns.

I've also completed a few race courses and have several hundred hours of track time in different cars. Learning your apexes and brake points will also help you understand what the car can and can't do. Being planted securely in the seat with your knees positioned correctly helps. With my setup, I can go almost a full g into a turn and not spin, depending on conditions, making posted speed signs at turns optional.

ZL1 Splitter - $150 off eBay
ZL1 Side skirts $150 off eBay
Zl1 Wing - $600 off eBay

20" rims - $900 off Amazon
General Tires - $1200 with install

Total: $3,000

Thats some good info! pulling 1g into corners would be awesome. I looked into wider tires but switching up my rims isnt something I really want to do. Im definitely going for more cost effective options, so the front splitter looks like a great option if you think it actually makes a difference. I see several options, and im wondering what's better, the 1LE splitter or ZL1 splitter.

The splitter alone won't make much difference. But together with the wing and side skirts it does. Granted, most of the time you only notice and benefit from the aero kits at high speeds (freeway is cool , but realistically 125-150mph) which likely won't be done on a road at any given time. They look cool though. In my opinion, the right tire setup will provide better grip than any aero kit. And the ZL1 aero kit was more aggressive for me. The 1LE didn't do it for me in terms of appearance.

You said you track your v6? I'm ordering a V6 next month for weekend AutoX and mountain driving. I wanted to ask if you like the balance of the v6? how does the steering feel? especially turn-in? I ordered a 1le this past spring but GM stopped production.

I track my LGX M6 RS and I am no track rat but in stock form I am not even close to pushing my car to its limits. If you learn to trail brake you can really get through corners and back in the throttle quick. I upgraded all the brake lines to stainless, use GLOC R8 pads on the back and R10 on the front. Complete flush with Castrol SRF and have never had any brake fade after 7/20 minute sessions. My next purchase is a set of 18" rims and summer only pilot sport cup2 and a few suspension upgrades to get a track alignment on the car and I hope I can hit 1.0g. The electronic steering has good feed back and the car is well balanced. With the V6 you lose on straight away speed but good corner technique will make you one of the quicker V6/V4 turbos on the track.

I have a v6 that I use for a similar purpose as you. It feels awesome, I’ve got it on BC Racing BR coilovers and it handles like a dream. I just threw on some Cadillac ATS 4 piston BREMBO brakes on the front, which gives even more confidence into turns. Once I get some summer tires on, she’s gonna feel perfect. Great car.

The V6 let's me keep my license. If I had a V8 my license would be suspended already. Car handles exceptional in turns. Had it out at the track a few months ago and for the most part it keeps up with the V8 except on a few straightaways. Stock number for the V6 are 5.1 0-60 (mine does 4.7) while the V8 is 4.1. That difference, while on paper seems significant, is really just saying "one" or snapping your fingers twice. I feel confident in turns. Pushed it once where the tires didn't grip too well and that was doing almost 60 on a sharp turn marked for 15. Otherwise I'm very satisfied.

Dang man you run 4.7 to 60? Do you have an Instagram or something? I’m super curious as to what your build is looking like, that’s awesome!

On the signature. @montereycountycamaros. Most recent pics. Have one somewhere of the 4.7 0-60. Can only readily find the 4.8. still impressive given how many miles I've driven.

I just got a "high kick" rear spoiler. Similar to a 5th gen OEM rear spoiler.
It didn't come with mounting instructions, screws or bolts and mounting holes.
Does anyone have experience on where to drill the holes in the wing or where they are supposed to be?
I assume it needs only 2 holes?
