2020 LT1: Recaro Comfort, Size, Materials : Need Buying Advice
Well, I found a Riverside Blue LT1 that I liked. I went to go look at it today, and the dealer called me back and said they sold it on Thursday. Luckily I had not left he house yet.
The dealer found another Riverside Blue LT1 that he can dealer-transfer, however it has the Recaro seat option. The car that I test drove last week didn't have the Recaros so I don't know how they feel, or if they are physically larger. The reason I mention the size is because I confirmed that my boys' car seats will fit in the back in a non-Recaro car. I am 5'-3", so I know the seats will fit me well, but will they be comfortable? I'm afraid they will be hard as a rock for my weight. I had a V2 CTS-V with Recaros and my wife and I did not find them comfortable for longer rides (we are the same height and weight). One final question, it looks like the center sections are suede? Are the outside edges leather? This will be my daily driver. I only drive 20 minutes to work, but I still prefer a plusher seat since I don't plan to track the car at all. Brandan |

My kids use the rear seats occasionally, so I started looking into this some time back. From what I can tell, the rear portion of the seat looks to be almost identical to the regular seat, so I don't think the rear seat space would be affected.
That's just from a visual inspection though. I'd do some kind of fit check if you can or hopefully others respond who have had both.

I have the Recaros, and I once rented a Camaro convertible with the cloth seats. My comment on comparing both, is that the quality of the Racaros is much much better. Beyond that, I felt both are similar in firmness, with the cloth seats having much less lateral support of course.

Thanks for the input. All good information.
Has anyone also owned a V2 with the Recaros as a comparison? Brandan |

I really like the Recaro seats in my ZL1 and I would recommend them!

I have the Recaros in my LT1. The back seats match and they are standard fold down.
I rented a 2 SS vert with standard seats and I thought they were uncomfortable on long hauls (8+ hours). I have only done a 2 hour ride in the LT1 so far and, for me, they were way more comfortable.

The Recaro seats offered in the Camaro are very comfortable (for reference, I'm 6'4" tall and I weigh 225 lbs.). You are correct that these seats feature suede center sections; the other sections are upholstered in leather. When so equipped, the back seat will be upholstered in leather and leather only.

Thanks Imp. Do you have any photos of the front and rear seats? The ones on the Chevy website are just computer generated. Brandan |

OP, I have Recaros in my LT1. After having them in my A10 ZL1 I ordered my LT1 with them. They might be the best sports/comfort compromise in any car. I have spent 6 all days on the road in them, besides holding you in pretty well once you get sporty, they dont crush your shoulders like other Recaros. They are all day seats.
These seats do have heaters and ventilation but they are not hooked up. At least the ventilation can be hooked up so far. Some have gone further than that. They are well worth the $$.

They appear different on the generator. It looks like leather in front and cloth in back. The front/rear covers are identical. They look great in person.

Went from Bristol TN to Dover Plains NY in an ss 1le in one shot only stopping for fuel with my 71 yr old father and he said the recaros were comfy. I am 6'1" 180 lbs and had no issues

The rear legroom is the same, as is the shape of the rear seats.
