Just pitch the OEM exhaust?

New Borla exhaust. What should I do with the OEM? Id feel terrible putting it into a landfill, scrap prices are pretty low and I don't want to leave it hanging around in my garage as I don't forse needing it again. Doesn't seem to be much of a need for them and you can't give them away.

Put it in the classifieds. Someone may be going back to stock to sell and pick it up. I’ve sold the OEM cats for 200-300. In hindsite I kinda wish I kept them for when the day comes I do the same thing. lol

I have been searching everywhere for a NPP, I too would love to be able to cut open one and try to modify it and add in sound deadning material like the Corvette NPP has. With as many people who love to take stock exhaust off you would think there would be more of these around but I can't find one anywhere. The other problem is you can't really ship them and have to find one local.

Thanks for the comments folks.

I guess I'll list in on the forums and marketplace. See what I can do. The other poster wants a full system and I am only doing an axleback.

Just curious.
Can anyone chime in and help me understand why folks wanna go back to stock?

Mandatory emissions testing is one reason... and who knows, some might also realize how bad catless can smell/sound and putting your original back is cheaper than buying a whole new catback.

It’s difficult to get a buyer to pick up a car for the $$$ you have put into mods. Maybe you can get lucky, but 9/10 you are better of putting it back to stock and selling parts.

Stock NPP starts to sound real good as it ages at 40 or 50k miles. Gets deeper with less rasp. Must have something to do with the metal becoming seasoned between the hot and cold temps. I'm glad I kept mine.
