Supercharger noise on cold start

Sometimes when I cold start my car I'll hear this sort of whirring/rubbing noise that sounds like it's coming from the supercharger and it seems to go away after 30-45 seconds. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, is it anything I should be worried about? The car seems to be running fine.

Yes mine has the same noise which sounds good to me. There’s a supercharged LT4 under your hood!

It seems like the more miles you get on the car, the noise is noticeable. I bought mine used with less than 500 miles and in the beginning the noise wasn’t there but since I have almost 17,000 miles it’s more noticeable.

All jokes aside, my '17 used to make a kind of bearing going bad sound during cold starts. Then was fine after a minute or two of running.

Thought maybe the supercharger bearings were going bad or maybe something wrong with the pulley system.

After listening around in the engine bay after a few cold starts, I figured out it was a couple loose bolts on my passenger side header. Not sure why it made the sound it did, but tightened them back up and no more sound.

Do you have stock exhaust manifolds or long tube headers?

All stock.

It really didn't sound like a header leak at all. Kinda made a repeated whine/ching sound.

That’s the sound mine is making but somewhat faint. It stops when it warms up. I still say it’s the supercharger and normal. I know and have heard supercharged engines sitting at idle whinning away so that’s why I think it’s a normal sound that they make. This is the first supercharged car I have owned and it’s definitely different sounding than a naturally aspirated engine.

Yes! that's exactly it and just like in the video, it breaks up and then goes away.
