Cat delete options and questions

I have read about CAT deletes and the issues with throwing codes. I also read about O2 sensor "Eliminators, Extenders" etc, including the simple solution of using a spark plug 'anti and/or non-fouler'. Many threads talk about how quick and cheap and easy it is to use a non-fouler to help fool the computer and/or O2 sensor.... the issue I have is how in the heck does a 14mm spark plug non-fouler thread into a bung hole designed for an 18mm O2 sensor? what is the trick I am not reading about?? any help is appreciated and no, I would not normally simply delete my cats, but heck, even with a muffler delete my ZL1 exhaust is not all that loud or noticeable... thanx in advance.

Your best option is doing Long Tube Headers and no Cats.

And before you go and tell me what an idiot I am for changing subjects...

You can get Speed Engineering LT Headers for ~$250
You can get Texas Speed Headers for ~$340?
You can get Stainless Power Headers for ~$600
And then you can get all of the top tier headers (Dynatech, American Racing, Kooks, and Stainless works) for ~$1200

Extra power and extra sound. Also, it takes care of all of your questions.

Now all of the "Cat-deleters" can step in...........

Really hate the fact there is a good chance I will void the warranty with a tune if I go the LT header route. Hopefully you guys have some other options or some solid opinions.

The anti-foulers won't do crap. You'll have to turn off the codes in the tune or it's going to throw codes.

We see that you're in California like us, so we are presuming you are already aware this would cause your car to fail an emissions inspection. There are post-cat alternatives you could look into for more sound, such as an aftermarket resonators like our #11386 unit.

If you do decide to go forward with it, we would recommend using some high-flow models in place of the stock units. They offer the same gains as de-catting, but with much less raspiness.
